Our popular Pueblo Pottery series continues with Melvin and Marietta Juanico (Acoma Pueblo).

Marietta grew up in a family of potters at Acoma Pueblo. She now collaborates with her husband, Melvin. Their pots range from miniatures to as large as 16 inches, always with the intricate black and white designs that Acoma is known for. One of their pieces was recently selected as an ornament for the White House Christmas tree.

To see some of the Juanicos’ work, visit this page on our Native Treasures site!

Don’t forget, Wednesdays are free admission for NM Seniors!
