Exhibitions Development Fund

Exhibitions are the life and heart of a museum, inviting community participation and inspiring compelling opportunities for learning. Intriguing exhibitions require advance planning by curators, registrars, designers, fabricators and educators. For these museum professionals, building exhibitions from concept to completion requires support from private donors and foundations for many needs. State budgets, while funding museum staff salaries and facility costs, do not provide support for exhibitions.

A gift to the Exhibition Development Fund is an investment in a season of exhibitions at the museum that most aligns with your philanthropic interests. Each museum has a Fund that provides a base of support for exhibitions and related needs, such as shipping fees for items on loan, research travel for curators, gallery preparations and custom-made mounts, conservation, special acquisitions, public programs, marketing and more.

Your gift of $1,000 or more will be recognized on the acknowledgements panel for each exhibition. You will also be the museum’s special guest at exclusive events for donors who have invested in the sustainability of exhibitions and the continued longevity of the museum.
