The Museum of New Mexico Foundation operates five museum shops in Santa Fe and two websites, newmexicocreates.org and worldfolkart.org. Through its retail operations, the Foundation strengthens creative entrepreneurship and promotes community economic development in New Mexico.


New Mexico Creates helps New Mexico artists reach new markets via the internet and museum shops. Newmexicocreates.org, and the Spiegelberg Shop at the New Mexico History Museum, feature more than 3,500 pieces of original art by over 1,200 New Mexico artists. Proceeds from the program mutually benefit the Museum of New Mexico Foundation and the participating artist.

Worldfolkart.org features fair trade art created by thousands of international folk artists and is the online store for the Museum of International Folk Art. The site also provides an additional outlet for many artists who participate in the annual Santa Fe International Folk Art Market.
