Business Behind the Scenes
Museum of Indian Arts and Culture
710 Camino Lejo, on Museum Hill, Santa Fe
Join Pamela Kelly, vice president of licensing and branding for the Museum of New Mexico Foundation and Tony Chavarria, curator of ethnology at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, for a behind-the-scenes look at the creative and collaborative process to create official museum licensed products.
You’ll go downstairs to the museum collection storage area, which is rarely open to the public, to learn how retailers such as West Elm, the Tea Collection, Durkan flooring and Nambé have drawn design inspiration from Native art and artifacts to create products that benefit the Foundation and the state museum system.
Refreshments will be served prior to the downstairs tour, reserved exclusively for members.
