After two years, Arts Alive is back in-person at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture. Each day we will have a new hands-on activity to explore that aligns with our museum exhibits. There are four sessions per day, so you can select a time that is best for you to attend. They are at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1 p.m.
Thursday, June 23, 2022 – Weaving on a Cardboard Loom
We will be weaving on a cardboard loom, inspired by the Navajo weavings in our Here, Now and Always exhibit. We have lots of examples to show you including a turkey feather blanket sample and a rabbit fur blanket sample that are typical of ancestral pieces.
