Join us at the New Mexico History Museum on Friday, June 21st from 5 to 8 pm for a FREE Friday Evening Event, full of nostalgia, insight, and celebration as we honor the voices and histories of our LGBTQ+ communities.

Step back in time for a special Pride Movie Night screening of Word is Out (1977), a groundbreaking documentary about the experiences of LGBTQ+ people in the United States, crafted by gay filmmakers. It is considered to be one of the first extended and realistic portrayals of queer people on screen. As an exclusive treat, we will screen highlights from some never-seen interviews with four New Mexico women of color that the filmmakers recorded while preparing for the documentary.

This event is co-sponsored by the Human Rights Alliance of Santa Fe, Santa Fe Pride, the New Mexico History Museum, and La Montañita Food Co-op.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, celebrate, and connect with your community!
