Museum of Indian Arts & Culture

From its beginnings in 1989 to the grand opening in 1997, the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture’s core exhibit Here, Now and Always has always been about community. For Indigenous communities, the exhibit provides a special space for sharing personal stories, oral histories and material culture. For the community of museum visitors, the exhibition has brought greater understanding and appreciation of Native peoples, Indigenous societies and their complex stories of survival, creativity and change. In 2014, the museum began to imagine the exhibit revitalized for the present and the future. After years of hard work and millions of dollars in private and public investment, the reimagined exhibit will re-open in Summer 2022.

In honor of this momentous occasion, the Museum of New Mexico Foundation is hosting a celebratory exhibit preview and dinner event at MIAC on Saturday, June 25, 2022. The event will be filled with memorable details including a Pueblo-style feast, special performances inspired by the exhibit and much more. We encourage you to consider one of the exciting sponsorship opportunities for this landmark event. Each table at the dinner event will seat ten guests. Two seats at each table will be reserved for museum VIPS, including notable Indigenous dignitaries, culture carriers and community leaders. The community that will gather at this unique event will be truly remarkable. Please join us.
