The Montezuma Ball is a much-anticipated annual gala hosted by Heritage Hotels and Resorts and held at Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town. The Ball has become one of Albuquerque’s premier non-profit fundraising events, having raised millions of dollars for New Mexico charities since 2000.
Each year, the Montezuma Ball is chaired by a non-profit organization and proceeds are shared with a second participating organization. This year’s primary beneficiary is the Museum of New Mexico Foundation in support of the Palace of the Governors, New Mexico History Museum, and New Mexico Historic Sites. The Montezuma Ball proceeds will provide them with resources for historic preservation, exhibition renovation, and educational programming. The Dual Language Education of New Mexico is honored to be the secondary beneficiary for 2019.
The 2019 event will feature pop-up exhibits on New Mexico History, special seating opportunities in the Bar from the award-winning TV show Longmire, wonderful live-auction items including unique travel experiences, and an after-dinner party in the QBar Lounge transformed into a Wild West saloon complete with gaming tables, whiskey bar and cigar cart.
