Join us for the workshop to discover how to get the most out of your smartphone camera! This introductory workshop covers tips and basic information on content and composition made with any kind of camera. Common editing functions and camera controls found in smartphone applications are also explored. A smartphone or other mobile device that can take photographs are the only required materials.

This workshop will be led by the Museum’s Head of Education, Chris Nail.  Before coming to the Museum, Chris served as a faculty member and technician for the photography programs at the College of Santa Fe and Santa Fe University of Art and Design for 12 years. He holds an M.F.A. in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Working across a wide range of photographic media, Chris is a big believer in using the photographic media that best serves the image you are trying to make. Often that may come down to what camera you happen to have on you at the time, and that camera is often the one in your phone!
