Third Thursday: A Musical Tribute to Western Eye
Join us for a “farewell” to the exhibition Western Eyes: 20th Century Art Here and Now looking at the art alongside musical inspiration. We invite you to view the artwork and to share songs that remind you of some aspect of the exhibition. If you wish to participate, please come prepared with your smartphone or other handheld device that allows you to play music. Participants will be encouraged to share why they selected their song. Our hope is that this approach will provide a new way to interact with the artworks in Western Eyes.
If you need some extra time to (re)visit the exhibition beforehand, the galleries will open at 5 p.m. to participants to view Western Eyes. You are also welcome to take a Virtual Tour of the exhibition on our website: https://www.nmartmuseum.org/virtual-tours/
This is a free event.
