The Museums and Historic Sites

Three of the four state museums in Santa Fe and seven historic sites are now open! The public is encouraged to visit the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs for updates on hours of operation, admission prices and other reopening information here. You may view the COVID-safe visiting protocol here.
- Please bring your membership card to check-in.
- Reservations are not required.
- Remember to bring your mask or double layer face covering.

New Mexico History Museum, New Mexico Museum of Art, and Museum of International Folk Art are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. See press release.
The Museum of Indian Arts & Culture will keep these same hours and days of operation when it re-opens to the public on May 16.
Additionally, both New Mexico History Museum and New Mexico Museum of Art will extend hours of operation to 7 p.m. on Fridays through October. As in the past at these museums, admission will be free to New Mexico residents between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m.
