Fort Stanton Live
Fort Stanton Live is held annually in partnership with the Site’s friend’s group, Fort Stanton Inc., and brings costumed interpreters from the nineteenth century to the Fort for a variety of activities, historical presentations, old-time games, and performances. Visitors can expect infantry demonstrations, presentations from writers and historians, pottery-making, blacksmithing demonstrations, spinning/weaving, a quilt show, and an all-day scavenger hunt for kids. Dancers from Mescalero Apache Tribe and Zuni Pueblo will perform on the parade grounds, and other members from Mescalero will serve Indian tacos and display arts and crafts. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Purchase tickets ONLINE.
