New Mexico Museum of Art | June 2026

The museum is excited to present Virgil Ortiz (Cochiti) in collaboration with Eric Garcia in Continuum: Blindfall, First Strike at the Vladem Contemporary. See below for more details on the exhibition and the museum’s partnership with Santa Fe Magazine Festival.

Continuum: Blindfall, First Strike

Exhibition opening: June 20, 2026

Artist-in-Residence Studio and Various 2nd Fl Galleries

For more than twenty years, Virgil Ortiz (Cochiti) has been developing the expansive project Revolt 1680/2180. Collaborating with lifelong friend Eric Garcia, Continuum brings global attention to Po’pay, the Tewa leader who led the 1680 Pueblo Revolt against Spanish occupation, sparking a vital exchange between Pueblo and Spanish legacies.

Through clay, imagery, and form, this exhibition invites viewers into the epicenter of the Revolt and to witness the story reimagined.

Continuum at Santa Fe Magazine Festival

In partnership with Santa Fe Magazine Festival, Continuum will be a featured VIP festival experience on Friday, June 12. This includes a private viewing/reception and talk with Virgil Ortiz before the exhibition opens to the public.

Trustees can enjoy 20% off admission to the festival, including this experience. Visit https://santafemagazine.co/ and use code MNMF26P to receive your discount!

Continuum will be on view to the public starting June 20.
