Alexandra Terry, Director of Curatorial Affairs and Curator of Contemporary Art at the New Mexico Museum of Art, offered insights into the Transcendental Painting Group. Her remarks highlighted the three works on display by Raymond Jonson, Agnes Pelton and Florence Miller Pierce.

Caro Myers of Sunroom Cooking took inspiration from these Transcendental Painting Group paintings and provided an exquisite meal starting off with a signature lavender margarita cocktail and included a whimsical artist’s-palette flatbread with colored dip, a main dish of ricotta gnudi with either local rabbit ragù or trumpet mushroom and finishing with a chocolate tahini mousse with sesame tuile and a raspberry meringue -- a perfect ending to this wonderful seasonal meal.

Now that we are coming up on the holiday season, remember the Museum of New Mexico Foundation’s Annual Holiday Party will be held on Thursday, December 3, 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the New Mexico History Museum and Palace of the Governors.
