Celebrating Our Ancestors Workshop

Join the Northern Rio Grande National Heritage Area for a workshop held at Los Luceros Historic Site that honors and celebrates ancestors. Celebrating our ancestors through traditional ofrendas is a profound practice that honors the lives and memories of departed loved ones. Rooted in Mexican culture, particularly during Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), ofrendas serve as altars adorned with symbolic items to welcome the spirits back for a brief reunion with the living.

All materials will be provided, and participants will take home a completed ofrenda and materials to build more. Registration is $50 per person.
