Community Exhibition - Our Journey: Ambiguous Loss and the Art that Expresses It
MOIFA Atrium | On view from November 18 – December 3
This collaborative exhibit features artwork created by children, teens, and families in the Nuestra Jornada (Our Journey) program at Gerard’s House.
Gerard’s House is Santa Fe’s center for those grieving the death of—or separation from—a loved one. Through free, weekly peer-support groups, we provide safe spaces where healing happens through acceptance, art, play, and memorializing rituals.
Created by and for families with immigrant roots, Nuestra Jornada honors many forms of loss, including death, deportation, incarceration, separation by borders, and parental absence. Each year, the program supports more than 300 Latino students in school-based grief support groups, helping young people explore loss and love through creativity.
Opening Reception | November 21st, 5–7 PM
Join us to acknowledge and witness their shared journeys of immigration, grief, and healing. Refreshments will be provided!
