Exhibition Opening Reception

Please join us for an opening reception in the lobby of the Museum for a new mural, “Mother Road Coming into Color,” painted by artist Molly Mendenhall in commemoration of the centennial of historic Route 66. The mural illustrates a transition from a sepia-washed and stippled (small dotted) 1930’s scene to a modern vision of Albuquerque coming into color in the distance. Light refreshments will be served by the Women’s Board of the Museum of New Mexico Foundation.
