Final Friday Artist Talk with Melanie Yazzie

Join us for an exciting talk with Melanie Yazzie, Professor of Arts Practices & Head of Printmaking at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Through her work, Yazzie seeks to be an agent of change, encouraging her viewers to learn about social, cultural, and pollical influences that shape the contemporary lives of Native peoples in the United States. Yazzie’s work can be seen in the exhibition Lucy R. Lippard: Notes from the Radical Whirlwind. Her work appears in Lippard’s book The Lure of the Local: Sense of Place in a Multi Centered Society.
