Horno Thanksgiving

You’re invited to an Horno Thanksgiving at Fort Selden! This year, join Ranger Payton while we will bake a traditional Pueblo bread and blue corn cakes. Participants can expect to learn about the evolution of bread-making in New Mexico, along with the significance of both corn and bread in the culture and diets of the people that have come before us. Bring your families to learn about the intersection of culture, history and traditions associated with the horno oven and enjoy the spirit of the holiday, New Mexico style!
