Looking to the Skies: Ancient and Modern Astronomers
This program focuses on activities related to different ways people in the ancient past viewed the sky in the daytime and at night. Jim Greenhouse, from the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science in Albuquerque, will share images and discuss details of the NASA PUNCH (Polarimeter to Unify the Corona and Heliosphere) mission. He will share images and offer visitors a chance to view the sun using a solar telescope.
The program is included with admission of $7 for adults and free to children 16 years and younger, people with Native/Tribal affiliations, disabled veterans, foster families and members of MNMF and FCJHS.
