Micaceous Bean Pot Workshop
Presented by Northern Rio Grande National Heritage Area (NRGNHA), and held at Los Luceros Historic Site, learn about micaceous clay pottery. One of the most celebrated traditional arts of Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado, this style of pottery is named for the tiny flakes of mica naturally embedded in the clay. It is known for its sparkling surface, durability, and unique ability to be used directly for cooking, such as beans.
The class is $50 per person and all materials are provided. Proceeds support programming at Los Luceros Historic Site.
