N.M. Art Book Club
Is there anything more enjoyable than looking at art and talking about books? We at the Museum Library don’t think so and that’s why we started an art-themed book club.
Join us in the galleries at Vladem Contemporary to discuss Pictures and Tears: A History of People who have Cried in Front of Paintings by James Elkins. This book chronicles the stories behind individual works of art that have moved viewers to tears while also considering why most of us don’t cry in front of paintings. "Deeply personal, Pictures and Tears is a history of emotion and vulnerability, and an inquiry into the nature of art."
This is a free program.
