
Palace Press Curator Talk and Tour
Join Palace Press Curator Keri Miki-Lani Schroeder for an artist talk in the NM History Museum’s John Gaw Meem room followed by a tour of the Palace Press.
Keri Miki-Lani Schroeder is an award-winning book artist and the new curator of the Palace Press. This hybrid artist talk and Press tour will begin with an introduction of Schroeder’s artist books and fine press projects. Guests will be able to view limited-edition books and prints. The second half of the presentation focuses on the new evolving plans for the Palace Press followed by tour of the historical letterpress printing showroom and Gustave Baumann Studio. This program is included with museum admission.
Keri Miki-Lani Schroeder is a book artist and proprietor of Coyote Bones Press. Schroeder was selected as the Artist in Residence at Jaffe Center for Book Arts in 2019-2021, and winner of the 2022 MCBA Prize recognizing excellence in the field of book arts. In 2023, Schroeder was selected as the distinguished speaker for the Charles W. Mann Lecture in the Book Arts at Penn State University, and recipient of the 2023 Center for Craft Teaching Artist Cohort Grant. Schroeder’s limited-edition books are held in many prominent collections including The Library of Congress, The British Library, Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
