Paper-Making Workshop

The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture is excited to work in partnership with the Institute of American Indian Arts’ Artists in Residency Program and feature a paper-making workshop with Leah Mata Fragua, yak tityu tityu yak tiłhini (Northern Chumash), California. Leah is a contributing artist in the Essential Elements: Art, Environment, and Indigenous Futures, on display in the JoAnn and Bob Balzer Native Market and Contemporary Art Gallery, October 12, 2025 – April 5, 2026.

11:00 – 12:30, Hands on pulp forming and experimenting
12:30 - 1:00, Break, Bring your own lunch.
1:00 – 2:00, Pressing, labeling, and clean up
2:00 – 2:30, Mini lecture/discussion on ecology, cultural context.
