Using translated accounts from the 1540-1542 Coronado Expedition, Coronado Historic Site’s Ranger Joseph Tackes will give a PowerPoint presentation at the Sandoval County Historical Society comparing the first written descriptions of the geography, architecture, and agriculture of the Pueblo World with what is known from continued, as well as past, archaeological finds in the greater region. Visitors will have a chance to ask questions about what is known about Pueblo life at the time the first Europeans arrived in the Rio Grande Valley at the end of the presentation.

This lecture is FREE and takes place at the Sandoval County Historical Society, 160 Edmund Rd. Bernalillo, NM 87004.
