Please join the School for Advanced Research (SAR) located at 660 Garcia Street, Santa Fe, NM, for the last Edgar Lee Hewett Lecture. Bruce Bernstein, one of the leading authorities on Southwestern Native American art, closes the series out with a reflective look at Hewett’s enduring impact on New Mexico’s cultural landscape.

Bruce Bernstein is considered one of the leading authorities on Southwestern Native American art. He received his PhD in Anthropology from the University of New Mexico in 1993 and has served as curator and museum director in Santa Fe and Washington, D.C. He is a SAR Senior Scholar and serves as the Historic Preservation Officer for the Pueblo de San Ildefonso. He has published and created numerous exhibitions, and is the author of Santa Fe Indian Market: A History of Native Arts and the Marketplace (Museum of New Mexico Press, 2012).
