Traditional Retablo Painting Workshop with Joseph Ascencion Lopez

Presented by Northern Rio Grande National Heritage Area (NRGNHA), and held at Los Luceros Historic Site, participate in an immersive workshop on traditional retablos and paints with renowned artist Joseph Ascención López. This class offers a unique opportunity to learn the art of creating retablos, a form of devotional painting deeply rooted in Hispanic culture. Participants will use traditional techniques and natural paints to craft their own beautiful retablo under López’s expert guidance.
