Tread the Trails at Los Luceros

Come enjoy the natural beauty of Los Luceros and take a ranger-guided walk on the site’s trails by the Rio Grande on Wednesdays, Sept. 25th - Oct. 15th, 1 - 2 p.m. Roundtrip from the Visitor Center, around both trails (the Pond Trail and Bosque Loop), and back to the Visitor Center is about 2 miles. Guests are welcome to walk as much or as little as they feel comfortable. The terrain is rocky but primarily flat. While walking, Ranger Kara will be happy to answer any questions or discuss any aspects about the site that may be of interest. Guests are encouraged to bring water and apply sunscreen and bug spray. Dogs are more than welcome, provided they are leashed at all times.

The tour is included with admission of $7/adults and free to NM Seniors, children 16 and younger, NM disabled veterans, NM foster families, and Amigos and MNMF members. Meet in the Visitor Center to begin the tour.
