Our next member event is a Member Monday Tour & Lecture: Eugenie Shonnard: Breaking the Mold on Monday, March 17, 2025 at the New Mexico Museum of Art Plaza Building at 5:30 p.m.

Members at the Family/Grandparents level and above are invited to join Executive Director Mark White for an exclusive in-gallery tour exploring the life and work of Eugenie Shonnard, a pivotal figure in Southwestern art and sculpture. Once widely recognized for her contributions to the visual arts, Shonnard’s legacy has been largely overlooked in recent decades.

In addition to her artistic achievements, Shonnard left a lasting impact by donating her home and studio to the Museum of New Mexico Foundation, which now serves as the Foundation’s offices.
