MOIFA and MIAC are excited to cohost their annual Community Day on Museum Hill, Gathering Seeds, Tending Roots, on Saturday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This year’s theme, “Gathering Seeds, Tending Roots,” celebrates the 20th anniversary of Santa Fe’s designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art and highlights climate and cultural resiliency—across landscapes and cultures.

Enjoy a full day of music, dance, art, and food, including performances by Zuni Olla Maidens, Felix y Los Gatos, Ailani Swentzell, and Jordan Wax, and local food trucks Manko! and Paleteria Oasis. Artist demonstrations and panel discussions will feature Vanessa Vasquez Zamora, Jes Marquez, Justin Gallegos Mayrant, Reina Crespin, Francisco Uviña, Jordan Wax, and Raashan Ahmad. Experience storytelling across cultures, learn about traditional and contemporary foodways, and participate in hands-on art activities for all ages. Celebrate the creativity and resiliency that define New Mexico—this free, family-friendly event is not to be missed! Reserve your free tickets today by clicking here.
