We are pleased to share the outstanding results of the 35th Annual Navajo Rug Auction, an event that continues to be one of the most anticipated highlights of our year. This year’s auction brought together a dynamic mix of both new and returning bidders, underscoring the growing reach and continued loyalty of this event.

Within the Palace of the Governors Courtyard, 200 rugs were showcased, representing the exceptional craftsmanship and cultural heritage of Navajo weaving. Guests had the opportunity to bid on a diverse selection, from striking contemporary designs to highly sought-after vintage pieces, which has become a popular draw of the event in recent years. The atmosphere was electric, with paddles raised and friendly competition in the air, as bidders vied for the chance to take home one-of-a-kind works of art.

By the end of the day, 135 rugs had been sold, netting an impressive $58,000 in sales, one of our best years on record. These strong results speak not only to the quality of the weavings but also to the importance of our continued efforts to support and promote Navajo artisans. We have already reserved the date for the 36th Annual Navajo Rug Auction – Saturday, August 8th, 2026. We hope to see you there!
