Women’s Board of the Museum of New Mexico
Preserving History, Supporting the Future
The Museum of New Mexico Women’s Board is dedicated to supporting the Museum of New Mexico system—13 institutions in all—through its mission to celebrate, preserve, and share the rich art, culture and history of New Mexico and folk art traditions worldwide.
History
Founded in 1950, the Women’s Board was established by a passionate group of volunteers who recognized the need for a dedicated network to support the Museum of New Mexico. Over the decades, the Board has grown into a dynamic group of individuals united by a shared love for New Mexico’s unique heritage and a commitment to ensuring its legacy endures for generations to come.
The Women’s Board has played a pivotal role in fundraising, advocacy and community engagement. Its members have contributed to countless projects, from exhibit enhancements to educational programs, helping the Museum of New Mexico system flourish as a cornerstone of cultural and historical preservation in the Southwest.
About
The Women’s Board actively supports the Museum of New Mexico Foundation by helping organize and host events enjoyed by members and the community at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, Museum of International Folk Art, New Mexico Museum of Art/Vladem Contemporary and the New Mexico History Museum/Palace of the Governors, helping promote awareness and engagement at our museums.
Women’s Board Endowment Fund
