CIRCLES | March 2024

Have you ever wondered who is responsible for designing our MNMF logo? I recently had the pleasure of visiting with long time Circles member and MNMF supporter Blaine Gutermuth who is the person responsible for creating the Museum of New Mexico Foundation corporate identification. Blaine has been a member to the Museum of New Mexico Foundation for 34+ years but in addition to that Blaine has had an extensive career 38 + career in Advertising and Marketing. It was in his retirement approximately 34 years ago he joined the Museum of New Mexico Foundation and created the Foundation’s branding, among assisting with other campaigns. We thank you Blaine for your dedication to your profession and loyalty to the Foundation and for giving us our MNMF identity we carry today.

One of the unusual and popular programs Blaine created 26 yrs.ago, in June 1998, was the cochineal theme, t-shirt, logotype and Fiber Arts Handbook for The Fiber Arts Festival on Museum Hill. Including actual packets of Cochineal Bugs attached to a promotional mailing. It was a sell out.

Circles Year-To-Date Revenue:
As of February, we are at $450,000 in revenue for Circles. Our goal is $685,000 so we need to generate an additional $235,000 in order to meet our year end goal. There are several ways we are working towards this goal. The main is through membership retention. Our renewals are performing well. The other way is through Step Up, Rejoin and New Member campaigns. Last Fall these three campaigns generated just under $64,000 in revenue. We are hoping our Spring campaigns will perform just as well. The first Step Up invitation will drop the second week of March. We hope you accept our invitation to step up to the next membership level. You not only receive the higher-level membership benefits immediately for the duration of your current membership but for an additional year. In addition, we are also offering special step up thank you gifts for your increased support, see your letter for details.
Please mark your calendar for the next Circles First Look, Art of New Mexico, Vladem Contemporary, June 6

This would be a great opportunity to bring a non-Circles friend!!! It’s a wonderful way to introduce them to our museum, our foundation and your Circles membership.
