Dignify by Design Summit Gathers Leaders in Design to Discuss Themes of Dignity
Respecting People, Place and Tradition
The 4th biennial design summit, hosted by the Museum of New Mexico Foundation in partnership with Human Dignity Projects, will gather leaders in the fields of design, craft, art, architecture and film to discuss their creative process and how dignity informs their work. Over the course of two days on July 9 and 10, attendees will experience powerful talks, interactive workshops and meaningful conversations. Exploring the theme of dignity, speakers will examine how design can respectfully engage cultural material as a source of inspiration, build community and allow members to flourish.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the Museum of International Folk Art and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture’s world-renowned textile, pottery, and basketry collections. Plus, this year’s Summit will coincide with the 21st Site Santa Fe Biennale and the world-renowned International Folk Art Market, taking place July 11 – 13. Extend your stay and enjoy the community experience forged by the world’s cultures, their art, and their craft traditions.
