About Eating History | A Taste of New Mexico

Eating History | A Taste of New Mexico explores the cultural and historical impact of food in New Mexico from ancestral times to present while highlighting the traditions and practices of Indigenous peoples, farmers, and chefs from across the State. Eating History is a love letter to all about the rich, unique, and delicious food produced and eaten in New Mexico. The film was made in support of the New Mexico History Museum’s Food Heritage Program, including its current exhibition Forks in the Road: A Diner’s Guide to New Mexico.

Eating History was made by the Museum of New Mexico Foundation (MNMF) in collaboration with DocuFilms. The Museum of New Mexico Foundation supports the Museum of New Mexico system, in collaboration with the Museum of New Mexico Board of Regents and the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs. The Foundation’s principal activities are fund development for exhibitions and education programs, retail and licensing programs, financial management, advocacy and special initiatives for the following institutions:
