Meet this Friday’s speaker, Maiya Brock!

Maiya Brock, a queer introvert, uses poetry to elevate her voice and share her art. Twice a Santa Fe Youth Poet Laureate finalist, her work is featured in the anthology "Through Lines." She’s earned awards in slam poetry, the Scholastic Writing Awards, and the Aldo Leopold Essay Contest. An avid reader and knitter, Maiya enjoys quiet walks and nerdy discussions.

In her CreativeMornings talk, Maiya will explore being a performer and an introvert, discussing the power of confidence and connection in performance. She’ll share her writing rituals and a few original poems.
