This is a unique opportunity to visit the Santa Fe studio of the multi-talented Orlando Dugi. Orlando’s beadwork, jewelry and fashion designs have been described as being elegant and timeless
and have received numerous accolades in both the museum and fashion worlds. Orlando says that inspiration for his creations comes from his Diné culture and is “really a poetic interpretation
of how I see the world – through our songs and teachings –presented in a modern way.” In our visit we will learn about Orlando’s creative practice, which involves intensive hand work
techniques including intricate weaving, beadwork and embroidery. Both sessions will have very limited seating.
